"Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does."  ~ William James

Niki Covers the Cold is a 501c3
and was founded in 2010 in memory of Niki Carlson. Niki's plan was to keep blankets in her car and hand them to people in need. Her idea began to become reality after her unexpected death in March 2010. The seed she planted in her family of wanting to help those less fortunate began to grow. That dream is now a reality and according co-founder Sandi Payne Carlson, the response has been overwhelming.

"We’ve been blown away by the support of our church and community, we really believe in our mission but we mostly we believe in helping others."

Since its inception, Niki Covers the cold has worked to build a presence in Central Texas and celebrates the facilitation 10 coat drives in the first year as a non-profit. St. Olaf Lutheran Church approved to place Niki Covers the Cold is under the "umbrella" of the Church a meeting.

If you have any questions please contact Sandi @ sandicarlson@nikicoversthecold.com
Thanks for All the support & Hootie Hoo

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes their way. Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried; for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.
